My name is Tom H., and I’m excited to share that I’m actively looking for a new job opportunity in Japan. I’m originally from the United States and currently based in Ohio, but I’m ready and motivated to relocate for the right role.

My professional background is in sales and marketing, where I’ve built a strong career focused on business growth, brand development, client relationships, and strategic planning. I also speak a little Japanese and am eager to learn more as I immerse myself in the culture and language of Japan, a country I have admired for many years.

Professionally, I bring with me over 10 years of experience in the field of sales and marketing. I started my career in a fast-paced digital marketing agency where I helped develop brand strategies and marketing campaigns for clients in industries such as retail, tech, and consumer goods.

During that time, I honed my ability to assess client needs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and produce measurable results through targeted campaigns. This foundation allowed me to build a deep understanding of both traditional and digital marketing methods.

After gaining several years of agency experience, I transitioned into a corporate marketing and sales role where I was responsible for managing regional sales accounts, negotiating deals with clients, conducting market analysis, and supporting cross-functional teams to increase sales revenue.

I have consistently exceeded annual sales targets and have been recognized multiple times for my ability to grow client accounts and develop innovative marketing initiatives. My work has involved everything from CRM systems and data analytics to creative content strategy and event marketing.

I’m also a strong listener, which helps me understand client needs and business challenges clearly so that I can tailor my approach for the best results. I enjoy solving problems, thinking creatively, and working toward shared success with my team and clients.

Now, why Japan?

This question is very close to my heart. I’ve had a deep love for Japanese culture since I was a teenager. From the traditions, art, and food to the philosophy behind customer service and craftsmanship,

I’ve always admired the values that are woven into Japanese society. I’ve visited Japan a few times, and each time I return, I feel an even stronger desire to become a part of the culture more permanently. Living and working in Japan has become a true dream of mine.

I also want to learn the Japanese language in greater depth. I currently speak a little Japanese—basic conversation level—but I’m actively studying to improve. I find the language beautiful and intellectually rewarding.

Being in Japan full-time would allow me to learn through immersion and better connect with people in both professional and everyday life. I believe that cultural understanding and language learning are essential for building strong global relationships, especially in sales and marketing roles.

Professionally, I see Japan as a country full of exciting opportunities. I’d love to contribute my international business knowledge to companies that are looking to grow, modernize, or expand to global markets.

I’m especially interested in roles that bridge Japanese and international business practices, whether that means helping Japanese companies grow internationally or helping foreign firms navigate the Japanese market. My background in client relations, digital strategy, and sales performance would make me a valuable asset in either context.

I’m also open to a wide range of industries—from technology and education to retail, tourism, and more. I’m excited about the potential to contribute meaningfully, continue learning, and make a life for myself in Japan. I believe that by combining my skills with my passion for the country, I can build a strong career that benefits both myself and my future employer.
